Further, to acquire abilities to apply the statistical mechanics and thermodynamics is the second purpose. In the textbook it is written that thermodynamics, the statistical mechanics, and the kinematics are stems of the statistical physics; and those are the themes of the lecture. (日) 統計力学および熱力学について，その基礎を理解することを第一の目標とする．更に，統計力学および熱力学の応用力を身につけることを第二の目標とする．教科書には，熱力学，統計力学，運動学が統計物理学の柱であることが書いてあり，それがテーマとなる．
