(英) The objective of this class is to provide students with sufficiently thorough appreciation of the many facets of the human factors discipline so that they may make use of it to their own doctoral works.

(日) 本講義の目的は，人間工学の基本的考え方，最新の知見について学習し，博士課程での研究に役立てることである．

(英) This class offers a broad and comprehensive overview of the human factors/ergonomics discipline with four areas of emphasis, (1) historical review of human factors research, (2) human physical, perceptual and cognitive capabilities and limitations, (3) application of human factors research data in design, especially in the interface design of computer-based systems, and (4) discussion about the relationship between the designed system (technology) and people.

(日) 本講義では，人間工学(ヒューマンファクターズ/エルゴノミクス)の研究領域に関して以下の4つの点を中心に概観する．(1)人間工学研究のこれまでの歩みと成果，(2)人間の身体特性，知覚特性，認知特性，(3)人間工学における研究成果の設計への応用，特にコンピュータ関連システムの設計への応用，(4)人工物(技術)と人間との関係についての考察．
